Markus Cabinet interior or exterior parts constructed of white Thermofused Melamine Panel, Woograin Thermofused Melamine Panel or High Pressure Laminate Panel require minimal care. Clean with mild                 soap and warm water or a mild cleaner like Formula 409.  Avoid puddling of water or excess water to enter the joints.

 Stains resistant to water based cleaners, may be cleaned with mineral spirits, however continued use is not recommended.

 Never use acidic or alkaline cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or bleach.

  Markus Cabinet interior or exterior parts constructed of solid wood or wood veneers finished with alkyd             urea varnish may be cleaned as follows.

Wet a cotton cloth with mild soap and warm water, and ring out to avoid excessive water.  Wipe the cabinet        surfaces and follow with a dry cotton cloth.  Polish may be applied following manufacturers instructions.  Markus Cabinet recommends Guardsmans Furniture Crème Polish or Markus Bristol Cream Polish. For a quick cleaning, a damp cloth with the polish squeezed thoughout is quick and effective.  Follow with a soft cotton cloth to dry and polish.

  Moisture is absorbed by all wood products and may damage the finish.  Steam from appliances will deteriorate the finish and crack the wood.  Coffee makers and rice cookers used under wall cabinets, are the usual cause of steam damage.  Additionally, wet rags left hanging against a wood surface will hydrate the wood and finish, resulting in cracking and peeling of the finish.  Humidity changes cause expansion or contraction of wood products. HVAC systems left off will allow moisture variances that may be damaging.  The recommended moisture range is 35-55 percent.  Moisture damage is not covered by the product warranty.
